Our Story

Some love stories begin in the most unexpected circumstances… ours being one of them.

Danielle — a Montreal girl born on Valentine's Day, of all days — and João Vitor, who grew up under the warm sun of Campinas, Brazil, found each other in late 2020, working remotely for the same company. What started as messages on a screen blossomed into something neither of us could have imagined.

From that unlikely beginning, our world grew bigger together. We moved in together in the spring of 2022, and two years later, bought our first home together - all shared with our dog Benny and bunny Theo, who have been enthusiastic (if opinionated) roommates ever since.

Along the way, we've collected passport stamps and memories — wandering through Mexico, exploring the beaches of Brazil and Costa Rica, and falling in love with the picturesque views of Portugal. It was on the breathtaking cliffs of Madeira Island, in November 2024, that JV got down on one knee and asked Danielle to make this adventure permanent. She said yes.

When we're not planning our next trip, you'll find us deep in a board game, on the ski slopes, or simply savouring an evening with the people we love most.
